The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is temporarily closing eastbound Interstate 4 (I-4) between Lee Road and Maitland Boulevard (State Road 414) from midnight to 4 a.m. July 23 and 30.

The eastbound I-4 entrance ramp from Lee Road and the eastbound I-4 exit ramps to Maitland Boulevard and Sandspur Road also will be closed at the same time. The closures require I-4 motorists to detour off the interstate while crews safely install an overhead sign.

Drivers traveling on eastbound I-4 will be detoured to westbound Lee Road and will then take Edgewater Drive and Forest City Road to eastbound Maitland Boulevard, where they may re-enter eastbound I-4, stay on Maitland Boulevard, or continue toward Sandspur Road. Detour signs will be posted.

Please view or download this handout for more information about the closure and detours.
