The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is temporarily closing eastbound Interstate 4 (I-4) from Lee Road to Maitland Boulevard (State Road 414) from midnight to 4 a.m. Friday, October 29.
The eastbound I-4 entrance ramp from Lee Road and the eastbound I-4 exit ramps to Maitland Boulevard and Sandspur Road also will be closed at the same time. The closures require I-4 motorists to detour off the interstate while crews safely install an overhead sign.
Drivers traveling on eastbound I-4 will be detoured to westbound Lee Road and will then take Edgewater Drive and Forest City Road to eastbound Maitland Boulevard, where they may re-enter eastbound I-4, stay on Maitland Boulevard, or continue toward Sandspur Road. Detour signs will be posted.
Please view or download this handout for more information about the closures and detours.
Modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work zone.
