Another portion of permanent eastbound Interstate 4 (I-4) is opening up to motorists on the morning of January 3.
The eastbound I-4 entrance ramp from State Road (S.R.) 434 shifts to its new location, and will require motorists to merge earlier than the previous temporary ramp.
The entire span of eastbound I-4 from S.R. 434 through the end of the project (the E.E. Williamson Road bridge over I-4) also is shifting to its final location.
A nightly closure of the eastbound I-4 entrance ramp from S.R. 434 are necessary to accommodate the shift. The ramp closes at 9 p.m. on January 2 and reopens at 5 a.m. the following morning.
