The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is shifting the eastbound Interstate 4 (I-4) exit ramp (Exit 75B) to northbound Kirkman Road (State Road 435) into its permanent configuration as soon as Wednesday, October 30.

A new eastbound I-4 exit ramp also is opening as part of this shift, providing motorists with new access to southbound Kirkman Road and the International Drive area.

The left-hand eastbound I-4 exit ramp to Grand National Drive, which was used as temporary ramp to access Kirkman Road, will close until project completion and reopen as an exit ramp for the eastbound I-4 express lanes. Motorists will use the new exit on the right to travel to northbound Kirkman Road.

This shift marks a significant milestone for the I-4 Ultimate project. All ramps at the I-4 and Kirkman Road interchange are in their permanent configuration, except for an eastbound I-4 entrance ramp from southbound Kirkman Road, which is an additional new ramp and access point.

The eastbound exit and entrances ramps at Universal Boulevard will close the night of October 29 to accommodate this shift. View or download a handout of the new ramp shift and detour routes for the ramp closures on the night of October 29.

Modifications or extensions to these schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work zone.
