A traffic pacing operation is scheduled to occur between midnight and 5 a.m. the morning of Saturday, December 19, on eastbound Interstate 4 (I-4) from Kirkman Road to Orange Blossom Trail.
During the operation, eastbound I-4 entrance ramps between these limits will be temporarily blocked by law enforcement officers to ensure no vehicles jump ahead of the traffic pacing operation. As the pace car passes each interchange, the corresponding entrance ramp onto eastbound I-4 will be reopened to allow motorists to enter and join the slow roll.
The traffic pacing operation and temporary ramp closures are necessary to install an overhead sign.
The temporarily blocked ramps during the operation include: Kirkman Road, Florida’s Turnpike, eastbound Conroy Road, westbound Conroy Road, and John Young Parkway.
