A traffic pacing operation is scheduled to occur between midnight and 5 a.m. the morning of Saturday, October 10, on eastbound Interstate 4 (I-4) from John Young Parkway to State Road (S.R.) 408. During the operation, eastbound I-4 entrance ramps between these limits will be temporarily blocked by law enforcement officers to ensure no vehicles jump ahead of the traffic pacing operation.

The ramps include: John Young Parkway, Orange Blossom Trail (U.S. 441-17/92), and Michigan Street. As a reminder, the eastbound I-4 ramp from Kaley Avenue is permanently closed.

As the pace car passes each interchange, the corresponding entrance ramp onto eastbound I-4 will be reopened to allow motorists to enter and join the slow roll. The traffic pacing operation and temporary ramp closures will create a 30-minute window for crews to install an overhead sign truss.

Please view or download this handout detailing the traffic pacing operation and ramp closures.

Modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work zone.

Motorists are encouraged to follow @I4Ultimate on Twitter or visit for construction updates throughout the corridor.
