The I-4 Ultimate improvement project has completely reconstructed the Interstate 4 (I-4) interchanges with Kaley Avenue and Michigan Street. The improvements allow the interchanges to provide better access to and from I-4. Braided ramps, frontage roads, and a Texas U-turn connect the ramps and reduce weaving. Combining the interchanges eliminates the westbound I-4 exit ramp to Kaley Avenue and the eastbound I-4 entrance ramp from Kaley Avenue, reducing congestion for motorists traveling through the nearby I-4 and State Road (S.R.) 408 interchange.
