As Hurricane Dorian moves towards potential landfall near Central Florida, the I-4 Ultimate team has begun emergency preparation plans to ensure safety and mobility prior to, and after, this anticipated event. This includes following approved procedures to secure or remove traffic barrels, barricades, temporary signage, and any other items that might be affected by strong winds. Workers may also lower crane booms along the corridor and secure other equipment and materials as necessary. Areas vulnerable to flooding and/or erosion are being checked and evaluated. Equipment such as trucks, excavators, bulldozers, and portable pumps and generators are being checked and fueled.
Post-storm, the team will inspect for damage and begin clean-up activities as needed. The goal then will be to resume regular construction activities as soon as practical.
