The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is temporarily closing Ivanhoe Boulevard under Interstate 4 (I-4) nightly Sept. 14-21. This temporary closure will begin as soon as 9 p.m. each night and end by 5 a.m. each morning. The closures are necessary so that crews can safely continue bridge work.
The eastbound and westbound I-4 ramps at this interchange will remain open during these closures.
For this closure, motorists traveling west from the east side of I-4 will be detoured to Orange Avenue and Colonial Drive (State Road 50). Those traveling east from the west side of I-4 will be detoured to Edgewater Driver and Colonial Drive. Click here to view or download a handout detailing the closure and detours.
Work will include the use of work zone lighting, and noise and vibration are anticipated at night during these times.
Modifications or extensions to this schedule may be necessary because of weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work zone.
