Multiple traffic pacing operations are scheduled to occur on eastbound and westbound Interstate 4 (I-4) between 12 a.m. and 5 a.m. on Sunday, September 9.
The eastbound I-4 operations will begin at Colonial Drive (State Road 50) and conclude at Central Parkway. The westbound I-4 operations will begin at County Road (C.R.) 46A and conclude at Central Parkway.
During the operations, affected I-4 entrance ramps will be temporarily blocked. As the traffic pacing operations pass each interchange, law enforcement officers will reopen the entrance ramp. Each traffic pacing operation on I-4 will create a 30-minute window for crews to continue placing girders along I-4.
In total, seven eastbound I-4 entrance ramps and four westbound I-4 entrance ramps will be temporarily closed during these operations. View or download an online map of the temporary I-4 on-ramp closures.
Motorists may experience additional lanes closed on I-4 before and during the traffic pacing operation.
Modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work zone.
