The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is opening a U-turn under Interstate 4 (I-4) at Kaley Avenue as soon as Tuesday, December 15. This free-flowing U-turn, along with the U-turn that opened under I-4 at Michigan Street in November, will work together with braided ramps and frontage roads to eliminate weaving patterns between the interchanges’ exit and entrance ramps.

The frontage road, parallel to eastbound I-4, that connects Michigan Street to Kaley Avenue also is scheduled to open December 15. The westbound I-4 exit to Kaley Avenue and the eastbound I-4 exit to Kaley Avenue closed as part of these improvements, and the U-turns create free-flowing access to the interchange.

Please view or download this handout to learn more about the new U-turn at Kaley Avenue, and visit the I-4 Ultimate page about these U-turns to learn more.

Modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work zone.

Motorists are encouraged to follow @I4Ultimate on Twitter or visit I4Ultimate.com for construction updates throughout the corridor.
