The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is temporarily closing the eastbound Interstate 4 (I-4) ramps to and from Princeton Street for crews to safely construct an island structure.
The eastbound exit ramp to Princeton Street is scheduled to close nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. March 9 – 12. Motorists wanting to access Princeton Street will need to continue to the eastbound I-4 exit to Par Street (Exit 86), turn right onto Par Street, and turn right onto Clay Avenue. The eastbound I-4 entrance ramp from Princeton Street is scheduled to close nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. March 12 – 14. To access eastbound I-4 from Princeton Street, motorists will need to continue east on Princeton Street to Orange Avenue, turn right onto Orange Avenue, turn right onto Ivanhoe Boulevard, turn right onto Magnolia Avenue, and follow signs to eastbound I-4. Residents in this area can expect loud noises, back up alarms for safety, and bright lights at night during these operations.
Modifications or extensions to this schedule may be necessary because of weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work zone.
