One direction of Interstate 4 (I-4) through Altamonte Springs will be temporarily closing under Central Parkway for eight nights beginning on October 30.

The eastbound I-4 closures take place from midnight through 5 a.m. on October 30, 31 and November 1 and 2. The westbound I-4 closures are from midnight to 5 a.m. on November 5, 6, 7 and 8. One direction of I-4 will remain open at all times.

For the eastbound I-4 closures, motorists will use Exit 92 to State Road (S.R.) 436. From S.R. 436, motorists can use Montgomery Road or S.R. 434 to make their way to the eastbound I-4 on-ramp from S.R. 434.

For the westbound I-4 closures, motorists will use Exit 94 to S.R. 434. From S.R. 434, motorists can use Montgomery Road or S.R. 436 to make their way to the westbound I-4 on-ramp from S.R. 436.

The nightly closures are necessary to safely demolish a portion of the old Central Parkway bridge over the interstate and make way for construction of the remainder of the permanent bridge.
