The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is temporarily closing eastbound and westbound State Road (S.R.) 408 and multiple ramps at the Interstate 4 (I-4) and S.R. 408 interchange at night this weekend.
Westbound S.R. 408 from Summerlin Avenue to Orange Blossom Trail (U.S. 441/17-92) and the westbound and eastbound S.R. 408 ramps to I-4 are scheduled to close nightly May 14–15. The closures are scheduled to begin as soon as 11 p.m. each night and end by 5 a.m. the following mornings.
Eastbound S.R. 408 from Orange Blossom Trail to Summerlin Avenue, the eastbound S.R. 408 ramps to I-4 and the eastbound and westbound S.R. 408 ramps from I-4 will all be closed at the same time.
The closures require drivers to detour off S.R. 408 so crews can safely install an overhead sign. Please view or download this handout for more details and detours.
Modifications or extensions to this schedule may be necessary because of weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work zone.
