The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will be temporarily closing roads, ramps, and conducting traffic pacing operations in Seminole County for work such as landscaping and overhead sign installation.
The following closures and traffic pacing operations on and near Interstate 4 (I-4) are scheduled to take place:
- State Road (S.R.) 436 over I-4 will close overnight from 11 p.m. Friday, November 20, to 7 a.m. Saturday, November 21. Please see this handout for more details and detours.
- R. 434 under I-4 will close for one night beginning as soon as 9 p.m. Thursday, November 19, and will reopen the following morning at 5 a.m. The eastbound I-4 entrance ramp from S.R. 434 and the westbound I-4 exit ramps to S.R. 434 will also close nightly between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. from November 19 – 21. - A traffic pacing operation is scheduled to occur between midnight and 5 a.m. the morning of Friday, November 20, on westbound I-4 from E.E. Williamson Road to Kennedy Boulevard. Please see this handout detailing the operation.
- A traffic pacing operation is scheduled to occur between midnight and 5 a.m. the morning on Saturday, November 21, on westbound I-4 from H.E. Thomas Parkway to S.R. 434. Please see this handout detailing the operation.
Modifications or extensions to these schedules may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work zone.
