The Florida Department of Transportation is shifting traffic
on westbound Interstate 4 (I-4) between Colonial Drive (State Road 50) and State Road (S.R.) 408 to the old eastbound I-4 lanes as soon as 8 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, so crews can safely demolish and reconstruct the old westbound lanes.
Nighttime and continuous closures are necessary to prepare the roadway for the new traffic pattern. Westbound I-4 between Colonial Drive and S.R. 408 along with related interchange ramps close at 10 p.m. on Friday, June 28, until 8 a.m. the following morning. Additionally, the westbound I-4 exit to Anderson Street closes continuously from 10 p.m. on Friday, June 28, until 5 a.m. on Monday, July 1, to accommodate the shift.
