The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is closing the westbound Interstate 4 (I-4) entrance and exit ramps at Princeton Street nightly Aug. 10-13. These temporary closures will begin as early as 10 p.m. each night and end by 5 a.m. each morning. These closures are necessary for sound wall painting.
Motorists traveling on Princeton Street to westbound I-4 will be detoured to Orange Avenue and follow signs to the interstate from Colonial Drive (State Road 50). Click here to view or download the detour map for this closure.
Those traveling on westbound I-4 to Princeton Street will instead exit to Ivanhoe Boulevard and use Orange Avenue to Princeton Street. Click here to view or download the detour map for this closure.
Residents in this area can expect loud noises, back up alarms for safety, and bright lights at night during these operations.
Modifications or extensions to this schedule may be necessary because of weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work zone.
