A traffic pacing operation is scheduled to occur between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. the morning of Tuesday, August 11, on westbound State Road (S.R.) 408 from Chickasaw Trail to Parramore Avenue. During the operation, the westbound S.R. 408 entrance ramps between these limits will be temporarily blocked by law enforcement officers to ensure no vehicles jump ahead of the traffic pacing operation.
The ramps include: Chickasaw Trail, Goldenrod Road, S.R. 436/Semoran Boulevard, Andes Road, S.R. 15/Conway Road, Bumby Avenue, Orange Avenue, and the westbound S.R. 408 ramps to I-4.
As the pace car passes each interchange, the corresponding entrance ramp onto S.R. 408 will be reopened to allow motorists to enter and join the slow roll.
The traffic pacing operation and temporary ramp closures will create a 30-minute window for crews to remove a sign.
Please view or download a detailed handout of the temporary westbound S.R. 408 ramp closures necessary for this operation.
Modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work zone.
